A custom livery brought to life on the Ducati Desmo450 MX, fully in CGI — studio light, true-to-life finishes and camera moves built to stop the scroll.

The Ducati Desmo450 MX stands at the centre of a dark studio, framed by a wall of glowing red light that echoes the colours of its custom livery. The glossy floor reflects every line of the bike, turning the scene into a stage built around the machine.

Every surface is rendered with precision: the gloss of the plastics, the matte areas of the graphics, the metal of the frame and engine. Slow camera moves reveal the livery from every angle, creating a result that feels less like a render and more like a launch.

Challenge

A new livery only sells if people can see it on the bike. But shooting a real motorcycle means logistics, time and cost — and even then, a camera can't always capture the details that make a graphic kit special. The challenge was to make the livery look completely real, with gloss plastics, matte graphics and metal parts all reacting to light like the actual bike, while delivering content that feels more cinematic than a traditional photoshoot.

Dream Area
Goal

Create content that puts the livery front and centre and makes the Desmo450 MX impossible to scroll past, built from the start for vertical formats on Instagram and TikTok. The same 3D scene had to work for everything: a looping reel, hero shots for the feed and detail images for the catalogue, all consistent in light, set and quality.

Result

A vertical reel and a series of photoreal stills that show the livery from angles no real camera could reach. Studio lighting, reflective floor and smooth camera moves turn a graphic kit into a proper launch. Built once in 3D, the scene is now ready for new liveries, colourways and formats — so the next kit can go live in days, not weeks.
